Lom Harshni Chauhan
Lom Harshni Chauhan is from the Himalayan town of Shimla, India. She has been living in China since 2002, and has worked in both India and China in higher education and corporate learning and development. She has also run an NGO in south west China.
Lom believes living is a skill and that all skills can be learnt. She likes to explore cultures and in that quest, attempted learning Guzheng, a Chinese folk instrument. She gave that up when Kyra, her six-year-old daughter, started playing better than her and is now concentrating on improving her Mandarin instead. Lom is also a swing dancer and Kyra is yet to catch up with her.
Lom studied philosophy at the university founded by one of the foremost spiritual figures of modern India. In the twenty years since she graduated from the ashram's University, and especially since her motherhood, Lom has been experimenting with the practical application of the spiritual lessons received from her Guru which has resulted in Visa, Stickers and Other Matters of the Soul.
